New product ranging at Foodstuffs South Island

 

A key pillar in our FSSI strategic plan is making sure we lead and innovate, and one of the ways we do that is by engaging with you on new product development (NPD) and other exciting developments in your categories.

 

 Here’s how our NPD cycles work:

  • NPD cycles falls into monthly slots. Your Category Manager will define the actual dates via separate communications as cycles approach.
  • Our cadence is reflective of our customer data, and makes space for the cycles mentioned above. In other words – if our customers are telling us that innovation and NPD in a certain category is not as important, that category may have fewer cycles.
  • NPD cycles are not a category review – they’re an opportunity for you to tell us about, and for us to consider your NPD. However, there may be deletions or flag changes to make way for new NPD as required.
  • While we want to meet to discuss NPD specifically, we encourage collaborative meetings/workshops discussing all topics relevant to driving ongoing partnership and performance outside of NPD cycles. Please discuss with your Category Manager.
  • We will not have cycles during July and August as we are focused on Annual Planning. Also, in line with moratorium, there will be no NPD cycle windows over December.
